Beauty does not seldom manifests itself in details and it’s the achievement of the Aciman that he was able to capture the beauty of this story in its details. The insecurities, the psychological games of silence and attention, they’re all presented in very personal manner. Sometimes they seem to border on cliches, but in case that annoys you, just try to remember that cliches are the distillate of many realities. Good book.
