Good read. It shows the dangers and threats of the digital age very well. Especially the amount of physical harm that digital weapons can do and the scale on which it is already happening is daunting.
This book provides a good overview of the digital war that is raging over the world. The massive scale on which China employs hackers, the ingenious way in which Russia is terrorizing the complete world every single minute of the day and the dark ways in which the Western world is running their offensive strategies.
It was wildly interesting to read that about the role of the Netherlands in the digital war. How lots of cyberattacks go via servers that are located in the Netherlands and how our poor privacy laws enable secret services to tap these servers easily.
The book is very well written and based on years of proper research (you need to trust the Huid Modderkolk that he has done his research properly because most of his sources are anonymous secret service employees. But to be fair, the way he writes about all the material makes you believe that he isn’t trying to fool us. He is very upfront about things he isn’t too sure about).
I would definitely recommend reading this book.
